Summit mania.

At our 2007 planning meeting last December, the MIMA Board of Directors was like, “Let’s get all crazy and set some super high attendance goal for next year’s Summit!” And I said, “How about 600 people?” And everyone was all, “Uh, not THAT crazy.”

When we closed registration on Friday, we were at 630.

That’s some good stuff right there.

The Summit has come a long way since our 2002 debut at the Zuhrah Shrine Center. But 5 years later, our event planning tactics are still the same: Find out what you want to hear about. Get good speakers to discuss. Give away cool stuff. Eat. Drink. Have fun.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this year’s event is going to set new standards for IMA conferences nationwide. Good news for you. Scary for the rest of us who have to live up to it again next year.

At this very moment, my inbox is packed with frantic emails from people wanting to get into our officially, no-kidding, sold-out Summit.

Sorry, folks. In this instance, the early bird has truly gotten the worm. We’re sold out. Done. Finis.

I hope you’re registered. And I can’t wait to see you on Wednesday!

Well done, MIMA. We had a great time. Insightful presentations and useful conversation. Here’s what we thought:
