In the early 1900s, merchant John Wanamaker notoriously stated, “Half of the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half.” Today, this quote rings true with marketing leaders as they are challenged with understanding how their integrated marketing efforts are impacting business results. This challenge continues to get more complicated as marketers invest more in digital, have an overwhelming amount of data to sift through and desire to have an enterprise view of their marketing impact – whether it’s online or offline.

During his presentation, Dale will address this challenge head on and outline why marketers should be reframing their measurement mindset to think more about how their investments are impacting the business at large. He’ll talk about how CMOs are thinking about measurement, discuss ways marketers can unify metrics across their media channels and outline three specific actions brands can take to get more out of their digital marketing investments. Dale will also introduce new measurement concepts, talk about how his corporate background led him into entrepreneurship and why he believes the Minnesota marketing community is second-to-none (even though he’s from Wisconsin).

This event is ideal for client-side and agency-side marketing directors and other marketing leaders, as well as account management, media, digital and analytics roles.

Dale Nitschke, founder and CEO of Ovative/group
Dale brings passion, expertise, and years of experience in leveraging customer data to drive business results. He formed Ovative to address the growing need in the market to understand digital media’s impact on enterprise results vs. single channel and to act on that view through digital media and experience optimization. He felt there was a gap in the market between consulting/agency/data houses that modern marketing approaches demands and Ovative provides. His goal is encompassed in Ovative’s mission, to “Fearlessly Unlock Potential” in his team, in each client relationship, and in the community. Prior to Ovative/group, Dale spent 8 years as President of Target.com and was responsible for driving Target’s guest data initiatives.
