Breakout Speaker: Brett Diamond

Session Topic: Marketing the Big Event

Yeah, we know that the Superbowl is coming to Minneapolis but what about the XGames that were just here (and returning in 2018), the NCAA Final Four coming in a couple of years and so much more highlighting the Twin Cities.

We've assembled an all-star cast of marketing leaders to share with us how these "big events" are done. Join Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee Vice President of Communications and Events Andrea Mokros, U.S. Bank's Chief Marketing Officer Elizabeth McDonnell, Carmichael Lynch Relate President Julie Batliner and leaders from the Minnesota Vikings in a discussion moderated by one of the KARE11 sports team members.

Together, this panel represents decades of experience working directly and indirectly on major national and international events. They’ve guided their brands and their clients toward strategies that have made them shine during extraordinarily visible events, and the expertise that they share will be invaluable to attendees looking to jumpstart similar efforts.

About Brett Diamond

A native Minnesotan, Brett Diamond joined the Vikings as Director of Partnership Activation in September 2016 following 11 seasons in the NFL Events department. In his current role Brett works in collaboration with the broader organization to ensure first class service to the Vikings family of corporate partners and has worked closely with the Minnesota Host Committee on planning for Super Bowl LII.

During his time with the league office, Brett held various roles on both the operations and business sides of the league’s major events. From 2014-2016 Brett was the event director for the Pro Bowl, which involved oversight of ticket sales/marketing and all event operations as well as managing relationships in the host communities. In addition to working every Super Bowl from 2006-2016, Brett served as the primary NFL liaison to the Vikings and the local community on the successful bid for Super Bowl LII and played a similar role for Super Bowl bids by Houston, Atlanta, and Tampa Bay.
